Learn How to Market your SWMBE Business

On Friday, May 31 from 9:00 am-11:00 am, join us for the second meeting of the MMSD Business Capacity Development Program’s Professional Development course. The topic of this module is Marketing Your Firm, and we will discuss how to create a compelling brand and an effective marketing strategy in order to attract your desired customer base. We will explore case studies of companies who have become household names due to their effective branding strategies and will then discuss how to scale these strategies to ones that are appropriate for a SWMBE.

This will be the second meeting of four, following a module discussing reputations and risks that SWMBEs can face. The next two topics will be Proposal Development and Project Management. Each module begins with an online training curriculum that introduces the topic to class participants. This curriculum is followed by the in-class session and discussion. Participants in the program are also provided the opportunity to receive one-on-one business mentoring from Stormwater Solutions Engineering’s CEO and Principal Civil Engineer, Carrie Bristoll-Groll. The goal of this course is to help professional services vendors hone their skills in marketing their business, developing proposals, and project management so that they can successfully develop the capacity of their business and partner with Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District on a variety of projects.

If you are interested in joining this course, it is not too late! Please visit MMSD’s BCDP landing page to learn more, and follow this link to register for the remaining courses!
